This position is service-oriented with a general knowledge of building maintenance. The employee will have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. The employee will respond to work orders on a tablet using the work order system. This is an essential staff position that may require reporting to work when the university is closed or during inclement weather when a state-of-emergency has been declared. The position is part of the on-call rotation and may involve assisting with snow removal if needed. The employee will work with all trades to assist with work orders or projects as necessary, including general work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and changing air filters in HVAC units.
