The position involves assisting with repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and building automation systems. The technician will also be responsible for minor construction work, furniture repairs, and maintaining the cleanliness of mechanical areas.   • Assists with repairs of mechanical equipment including HVAC systems, fan coils, chillers, boilers, pumps, and electrical systems.
  • Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs building automation systems (BAS).
  • Installs and tests plumbing fixtures such as sinks and toilets.
  • Checks electrical circuits and refrigeration controls.
  • Handles preventative maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies under guidance of Facilities Manager.
  • Operates scissor and boom lifts and climbs ladders for maintenance tasks.
  • Performs daily routine maintenance and submits paperwork for work orders.
  • Repairs furniture, doors, and other facility structures.
  • Conducts regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers.
  • Installs and repairs carpet and vinyl flooring.
  • Communicates daily activities and problems to other shifts.
  • Participates in inclement weather emergencies.
  • Submits requests for parts and takes inventory as assigned.
  • Uses computer systems for tracking maintenance activities and communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Three years of experience in a specific skill area or one year of experience with educational requirements from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance work.
  • Good working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ability to handle high levels of stress and customer issues professionally.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
