Under general supervision of the Facility Maintenance Manager, this is a multi-skilled position that performs building maintenance of a nonspecific trade skill. The work performed will be primarily preventive, occasional routine tasks, and emergent requests as assigned. Position for this posting is located at Coastal Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Summerville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical work including, but not limited to: Preventive maintenance, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast and wiring.
  • Plumbing including but not limited to: Preventative maintenance, toilet repair, disposal repair and waterlines.
  • HVAC work including but not limited to: Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, changing filters, replacing belts, changing fuses and capacitors, cleaning drain lines and using our energy management system.
  • Light carpentry work including but not limited to: Drywall, painting, and door repair.
  • Locksmith work including but not limited to: Making keys, working on all types of doors including door closers, checking lock and key functions, troubleshooting locks and keeping a log of keys made.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
