About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician II leads and performs daily work orders, small capital projects, routine preventative maintenance, routine work, new installations, and cleanup.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Three (3+) years' experience general maintenance work and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment.
  • The ability to read, understand and communicate, both verbally and written
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc.
  • Must be able to take initiative.
  • Able to focus on attention to detail and follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 Certification or higher.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Poses a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform mid-level HVAC and electrical mechanics in performing intermediate preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment, examining for wear and tear, and making required repairs as needed.
  • Performs intermediate PM tasks on items such as roof drains, shop cleanup, and all other assigned areas.
  • Adheres to applicable safety rules.
  • Trains other General Maintenance Technician/Trade partners with intermediate activities such as painting and priming of interior and exterior walls, hanging, and finishing sheetrock, hanging white boards, installing fixtures, etc.
  • Remain current with industry standards, best practices, and new technology.
