About The Position

Cleans facility in order to ensure that all work areas, restrooms, hallways and other locations are clean and serviceable by sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, polishing, dusting and collecting and removing waste materials. Responds to district offices as assigned for meeting prep and cleaning, including bi-annual NASCAR prep and cleanup. Performs manual labor tasks in order to complete assigned duties by picking up, loading and unloading supply orders, moving desks and furniture, lawn care, snow removal snow, driving state vehicles, ensuring spare vehicles at troop are cleaned and maintained. Responds to requests for assistance as needed. Performs minor maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that interior areas of the facility are cared for by changing light bulbs, repairing and adjusting doors, repairing minor plumbing problems, painting walls, making minor adjustments to heating and cooling units, assembling and un-assembling furniture and equipment and servicing lawn mowers as required. Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned by supervising employees. Assists other employees in the work unit as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Six months of experience in a building trades or mechanical building trade
  • Must submit to and pass a background investigation including fingerprints and criminal records check.
  • Abilit to lift 80 pounds, stoop, bend, push, pull, climb, reach, and twist with arms, legs and body.
