About The Position

As a General Maintenance Pipefitter at JLL, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that keeps our clients' facilities running smoothly. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with our commitment to shaping a brighter way for the properties we manage. You'll be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems including water, steam, gas, and chemical lines, while also handling general maintenance tasks across commercial properties. Working within our culture of collaboration, you'll partner with facility teams, contractors, and clients to ensure optimal building performance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of pipefitting and general maintenance experience
  • Ability to read a blueprint.
  • Knowledge of Stainless Steel, PVC, and Copper piping standards, tolerances, & capabilities. (Cutting, bending, and assembling pipes)
  • Proficient in using hand tools.
  • Someone that can work as a team, work independently and self-motivated.
  • Experience in adding/replacing valves.
  • Familiar with using volt meter

Nice To Haves

  • Some welding experience would be preferred (TIG, MIG, or stick welding)
  • Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent trade certification
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate or facility management
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for water, steam, gas, air, and other fluids in commercial buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems using blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic tools
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely solutions to minimize operational disruptions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external contractors on complex projects and system upgrades
  • Document work performed, maintain accurate maintenance records, and report on system conditions
