About The Position
This position supports JLL's operational excellence by performing essential maintenance and repair work across building systems and equipment. As a General Maintenance Worker, you will utilize practical skills across multiple trades to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained, directly contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional property management services to our clients. This position operates under the Local 18s Union.
Requirements
- Practical knowledge and skill in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting work
- Basic understanding of building maintenance and safety procedures
- 1 year of experience
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Replace and repair electrical components including receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
- Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water coolers, and toilets
- Paint structures and equipment to maintain aesthetic and protective standards
- Repair and replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles as needed
- Perform door hanging and lock installation tasks
- Replace broken windowpanes and perform general equipment maintenance
