About The Position

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of related industry 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations
  • Standard computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA USDA HACCP Safety Security Sanitation Quality yields cost and efficiencies strong math ability a plus
  • Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws
  • Interview hire and train team members
  • Plan assign and direct work
  • Monitor and appraise work performance
  • Reward coach counsel and discipline team members
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Applicant must reside in the United States
