About The Position

Family Practice Center, P.C. is currently seeking an entry level Full-Time Maintenance & Landscaping Technician. The ideal candidate will perform g eneral care and maintenance of offices and grounds including landscaping and lawn care, building and maintenance repair, and construction for our Family Practice Center offices. This position would include both weekday and weekend hours. Family Practice Center is a large group of primary care physicians in Central PA. We offer a wide range of services including family medicine, pediatrics, counseling services, onsite lab and x-ray, and much more. Typical Physical Demands: Work may require standing and walking for long periods of time as well as bending, stooping, kneeling and stretching. Lifting of equipment and supplies up to 100 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment - electrical and manual - such as a lawnmower, tractor, trimmer/edger, hammer, screwdriver and other such equipment as necessary. Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor settings and in extreme temperatures. Typical Working Condition: Work is performed in office and outdoor settings. Involves contact with office staff and vendors. Work may be stressful at times. Work environment may be interruptive at times and scheduled flexibility is required due to office needs and weather conditions. Expectations of Position – to include but not limited to: Knowledge of skills and abilities. Knowledge of maintenance equipment and skill in operating required equipment. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Organized, Clean, Hygienic and Courteous Ability to read, understand and follow both oral and written instruction. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with staff and public. Ability to write clearly for time and maintenance records, recording expense logs, etc. This job could require limited access to PHI during transport or storage of records. HIPAA training is required and HIPAA compliance is expected. Confidentiality is required. Follow procedures according to OSHA. Follow procedures according to company protocol. Examples of Duties – to include but not limited to: Lawn care including landscape maintenance. Upkeep and maintenance of building exterior. Upkeep and maintenance of heating, air conditioning and water treatment systems. Painting offices as needed. Delivering/transporting office equipment. General construction Related work as required.
