A General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills to respond to guest room calls. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to: Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques and various products. Knowledge in plaster or spackle applications, drywall installation, repair and finishing, mixing paint colors to match existing colors, and applying paint to all. Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the Hotel. Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
