Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Skill and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required.
  • Must have basic writing and communication skills.
  • Required to have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work on a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance in the Biomedical facility.
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Provide customer service for Regional Fleet Management and facilities maintenance.
  • Assist with the management of fleet operation for the Region.
  • Manage the Regional Fleet Programs for motor vehicle registrations, operational and organizational maintenance, vehicle emergency safety equipment, issue, use, and inventory.
  • Accountable for ARC gasoline and minor maintenance cards, enforcement of authorized use of ARC vehicle, vehicle sales, accident, recovery and claims, and formulation and compliance of fleet budgets.
  • Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Estimate time and material costs of various projects.
  • Requisition new supplies and equipment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
