About The Position

TransGlobal Adjusting Corporation is seeking a General Liability Adjuster to join our team. As a subsidiary of Brunswick Companies, we specialize in providing expert third-party claims adjusting services to self-insured companies and insurers. With over 30 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our customized approach to effective claims management, which includes a comprehensive range of services such as liability and litigation management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating liability and settling claims according to client specifications, with a strong emphasis on litigation matters. This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as you will be handling general liability bodily injury and property damage claims that range from minor to complex, including litigation management. In this position, you will investigate, evaluate, and determine liability and claim settlement values while ensuring compliance with company policies and client instructions. You will also identify opportunities for transferring claims to third parties and manage the communication process with clients, claimants, and attorneys. Recognizing potential insurance coverage questions and making recommendations for extending or denying coverage will be key responsibilities. You will be expected to provide written summaries of claims, determine when expert involvement is necessary, and manage budgets for outside experts and legal fees. Additionally, you will communicate settlements and reserve increases to clients and insurers, prepare status reports, and document all activities in the designated database. The role requires a minimum of five years of experience, including two years in litigation, preferably with self-insured general liability accounts. Adjusting licenses in all operating states are preferred, along with professional designations such as AIC or CPCU. Strong analytical and reasoning skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The position may require occasional travel (1-10%) and the successful candidate must pass a background check and drug test. We are committed to developing and mentoring our employees, and we offer a supportive and inclusive company culture that values diversity and teamwork.
