About The Position

McCain Fertilizer is currently seeking temporary seasonal General Laborers at our sites in Middleton, New Perth and Bloomfield, PE. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing support to the operational functions, while always ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to safely lift/carry approximately 50 lbs
• Team player with excellent attendance
• Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate a forklift, skid loader and Class 3A license would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe work environment and promote continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety.
• Must work with a strong sense of urgency.
• Able to work extended hours during the busy season
• Willing and capable of doing some exterior physical labor in varying weather conditions as required.
• Capable of working in dusty environments
• Working in a fast-paced team environment
• Participate in Team meetings, as required.
• All additional duties as assigned.
