About The Position

Brothers Standard Striping LLC (a.k.a. Standard Striping/Paving & Concrete) has approximately 7 positions available for full time general laborers with driving duties for multiple crews. Reliable transportation to and from our shop(s) is necessary. Salary to be determined based on experience. Federal approved drivers license or ID required as the need may arise to work at government properties. Scopes of work to be performed include: Striping Seal Coating Thermoplastic Installation

Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Reliable transportation to and from our shop(s) is necessary.
• Federal approved drivers license or ID required as the need may arise to work at government properties.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Light c leaning (sweeping and/or blowing) of dry asphalt surfaces to remove debris.
• Seal Coating Application: Filling cracks with appropriate material if applicable. Applying seal coat material using various methods like long-handled squeegees, spray wands, or specialized equipment.
• Striping Application: Use specialized equipment like ride-on striping machines, walk-behind stripers, and sprayers to paint lines and symbols. Ensure accurate placement and dimensions of markings to ensure projects are completed on time and to the correct specifications. Thermoplastic Installation: Prep pavement, layout markings, use primer when necessary, apply glass beads. Also see "Striping Application" above.
• Quality Control: Ensuring even and proper application of the materials.
• Maintaining and cleaning of equipment and tools
• Following safety protocols and guidelines
• Working as a team
• Following instructions
• Communicating effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman, such as assisting crew members.
• Be available to travel to multiple construction sites within the geographic region and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with peers, contractors, and the general public.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
