About The Position

The General Laborer supports Grady Rentals field and yard operations by transporting, preparing, maintaining, and assisting with containment equipment and materials. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment readiness, cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and safe, efficient support at job locations. The General Laborer must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of performing physical work in outdoor and industrial environments.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail for equipment verification and inventory tracking.
Dependable attendance and ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
Commitment to safety and compliance with company procedures.
Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties in outdoor and industrial environments.
Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods.
Capable of working in varying weather conditions and around equipment, water, and chemical cleaners.

Responsibilities

Drive company equipment and materials to and from multiple job sites throughout the Permian and Delaware Basins.
Deliver containment materials to and from field locations as directed.
Verify that equipment is functioning properly upon delivery and during field use.
Confirm all supporting equipment and materials are present and accounted for in the field.
Clean equipment thoroughly inside and out while in the yard or as needed following field returns.
Use pressure washers and rags with electrical cleaner, especially around water-sensitive components and areas.
Perform basic equipment maintenance focused on cleaning essential components and supporting equipment readiness.
Stock, organize, and clean the shop and yard to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Count and track inventory of various items, equipment, and materials in the yard.
Assist in organizing materials for scheduled deliveries and job site needs.
Help layout, stage, and/or fabricate containment materials in the yard and at job locations.
Clean and prepare used containment material for reuse or proper disposal.
Support field crews with containment setup and breakdown as required.
Maintain accurate records of field deliveries, pickups, yard activities, inventory counts, and related operational tasks.
Turn in required documentation to supervisors in a timely and complete manner.
