About The Position

Provide services to load and stow subsistence and supplies onboard Navy ships located at Naval Station Mayport. Services include storeroom preparation, stock rotation assistance as required. Maintain surge capability to support emergent and surge requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma for equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, and speak communicate in English.
Must pass a background check and government screening
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, push, pull and lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Project Manager or immediate supervisor assigned.
Transport by hand, or conveyor equipment when available, subsistence items and supplies from the pier to the designated locations onboard the ship.
Rotate stock as required.
Remove debris created from transporting stores and dispose in designated locations.
Neatly stack pallets in designated locations.
Report to assigned place of duty on time, as prescribed by the supervisor.
Utilize safety equipment hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses and steel toed shoes in the performance of all assigned work.
Must pass a Navy background security investigation and maintain the appropriate clearance to remain employed on this project.
Follow all agency policies and procedures as set forth in the Board of Director’s approved Personnel Handbook.
Other duties as assigned.
