About The Position
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring the campus and all areas are safe. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below. General: Ensure spaces are maintained and cleaned by emptying trash and recycle bins, tidying furniture, dusting surfaces, and picking up debris and trash on facility grounds. Operate floor scrubber, sweep, and mop floors. Remove extraneous dirt/markings from interior and exterior vertical/horizontal surfaces (walls, doors, etc.). Maintain working conditions of cleaning equipment. Maintain a clean work space. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Safety Supervisor. Inventory Management: Notify the Maintenance & Safety Supervisor for supply replenishment. Safety: Adhere to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment. Maintain a safe working environment; observe all OSHA and Company safety policies. Identify and generate near-miss reports (Stop Stories) and other elements of risk.
Requirements
- Minimum of GED or two years related experience and/or training – preferred.
- Ability to maintain machinery necessary to perform a specialized task.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
