This job responds to assigned departmental maintenance needs and is responsible for the execution of repairs or replacement of affected equipment in assigned area. Additionally, this job maintains the appearance of the facility grounds including lawns, trees, shrubs, plant beds, parking lots, entrances, and trash collections. This job maintains, monitors, repairs and operates all utilities related to pool and aquatic equipment to ensure all pools in good, clean working condition, maintains preventative maintenance (P.M.) schedules and completes corrective maintenance to all equipment in a timely and professional manner. Accurately documents all activities in daily log book. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Education Required - High School diploma or equivalent
  • Work Experience Required - Experience with proper use of hand and power tools under minimal or no supervision
  • Certifications Required - Valid driver's license
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to and experience with trouble shooting and problem-solving equipment issues.
  • Ability to and experince with multi-tasking.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumging, carpentry, heating/ventailation/airconditioning/refrigersation (HVAC-R).
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic blue prints.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred - 5 years of maintenance experience, including knowledge of health codes for swimming pools; safety procedures for storing, handling, and using toxic chemicals; balancing swimming pool water

Responsibilities

  • Performs general repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Performs daily maintenance inspections/repairs in assigned area.
  • Performs daily cleaning of assigned areas.
  • Operates, repairs, maintains, and cleans mechanical equipment for pool operation including water filtration and chemical purification systems.
  • Utilizes effective judgment and decision making skills when performing job duties.
  • Adheres to company policies.
  • Completes Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections according to schedule.
  • Follows up on completed/current assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
