General Laborer
About The Position
We are seeking General Field Laborers to join our team. This position involves both skilled and unskilled labor to support various roadway and airport projects. Teamwork is essential, as laborers will assist supervisors and foremen to ensure project success. ISC offers a structured career path, allowing laborers to progress from Level 1 to Level 4, with advancement opportunities to Team Lead and Foreman positions. Level 1: Entry-level tasks, pressure washing, flagging, and small machinery use Level 2: Operating hot tar kettles, bevel saws, and assisting with sealant work Level 3: Crack routing, joint sealing, and skid steer operations Level 4: Traffic control setup, saw cutting, compression seal installation
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (must be maintained)
- At least 21 years of age
- Willing to travel out of state
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol test (random testing required)
Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
- Work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather, airborne particles, and loud noise
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): hard hats, gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots, etc.
- Operate and maintain small machinery, sealing equipment, and power tools
- Drive trucks with trailers, including turning and backing
- Assist in inventory tracking, fleet reporting, and job site organization
