The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification. Employing more than 400 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Be able to safely work alone or as part of a team, capable of self-direction.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
• Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime, weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations
• Dependable, team-player who can demonstrate initiative.
• Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and possess a mechanical aptitude.
• Must be flexible as job focus and assignments may change daily and by the hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with Novelis HSE standards and policies, all state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Operate a variety of mobile equipment including, but not limited to; forklift, skid steer, overhead crane.
• Coordinate and carry out various tasks as assigned by management.
• Perform repetitive tasks and assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including assigned areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms.
• Notify appropriate personnel of irregularities in operating equipment or materials; maintain clean and orderly conditions in work area.
