About The Position

MWG is seeking a General Laborer for its 3rd Shift. This role involves operating various hand and power tools, consistently meeting daily production rates and goals, and adhering to standard work instructions. The General Laborer will be responsible for measuring work using tools such as rules, gauges, calipers, and templates, as well as interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and customer documentation. Key responsibilities also include keeping supervisory staff informed of any issues related to quality, parts supply, and safety, completing all required activities and documentation, and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workstation at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience of 1 year or more in hands on manufacturing with metal fabrication or woodworking.
• Mechanically inclined
• General shop math skills
• Ability to understand and follow standard work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and use various hand and power tools.
• Meet and maintain daily production rates and goals as established and required by company.
• Read and follow standard work instructions.
• Measures work, using rule, gauges, calipers and templates
• Read and interpret blue prints, shop drawings and customer documentations.
• Keep supervisory staff informed of all activity including but not limited to information related to quality, parts supply and safety issues that may occur within the scope of responsibility.
• Complete all required activities and documentation for assigned work as requested by supervisor.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
• Keep workstation clean, orderly and free of safety hazards at all times.
