About The Position

The General Laborer supports daily operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks to ensure work sites, facilities, or production areas remain safe, clean, and efficient. This role assists skilled workers, operates basic hand tools and equipment, and follows instructions to complete tasks accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of performing physically demanding work in various environments.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, carrying, standing for long periods).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment usage.
  • Basic mechanical or technical aptitude.
  • Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar labor-intensive work.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years Construction experience required. (Basic plumbing, basic carpentry, basic concrete work, painting, and basic electrical)

Nice To Haves

  • technical certifications or associate degree in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor duties such as loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials or equipment.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., Maintenance Technicians, Refrigeration Technician & Facilities Technicians) as directed.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas, disposing of debris and materials as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Support site preparation activities such as digging, lifting, carrying, or assembling materials.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks and help set up or break down work sites.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while adhering to company standards and timelines.
