Requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
• Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into construction areas.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and securing the area each day.
• Handle and store materials, load and unload trucks, and haul materials as needed.
• Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Communicate problems to the Foreman or Safety personnel.
• Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water.
• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors and checking electrical appliances.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment manually or with hand trucks.
• Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, and clear debris from grounds.
