About The Position

The position involves assisting in shop activities by performing various duties related to loading and unloading materials, parts, or products. The employee will be responsible for delivering parts or stock to designated work areas, lifting metal parts onto machines, and maintaining cleanliness around work areas.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Ability to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks
• Delivers parts or stock to designated work areas
• Lifts metal part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture to assist in setting up machine
• Cleans around work areas
