About The Position

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening on day shift. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to, beef, pork, and ground pork. Applicants must be willing to work with knives, if required, and wear all proper safety equipment. Some positions require lifting and pulling up to 40 pounds. All work is performed in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 38 to 42 degrees and requires standing 8 to 12 hours per day. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. “Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.” Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
