About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer, specifically focused on the maintenance and refurbishment of ice cream cabinet freezers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sanding surfaces, removing decals, and assisting with the basic upkeep of ice cream freezers. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a cold environment.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
• Basic experience using hand tools and power tools preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a team-oriented environment
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work in a fast-paced shop setting

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or general labor is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Sand surfaces of ice cream cabinet freezers to prepare them for painting or refinishing.
• Remove decals and adhesive materials from freezer units, ensuring a smooth and clean surface.
• Assist technicians with basic maintenance tasks, such as temperature checks and minor repairs.
• Transport and position ice cream cabinet freezers as needed, ensuring they are securely placed.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, properly disposing of waste materials like old decals and sandpaper.
• Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking and documenting parts and supplies used.
• Perform other general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
