VAS General Labor 2nd Shift
About The Position
Retail Fulfillment Packer 2 position will be the primary labor to completing all Co-Packing projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assembling various products and displays according to customer specifications. Operate Wrap Heat Tunnel Machine. Must be able to operate Ink Injector and Tape Machine. Stacking cases onto pallets according to specifications. Performing rework and inspection on the product. Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time. Ability to be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks. Work on a continuous flow production line. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
- Awareness of quality standards and ability to identify defects in products.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
- Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
- Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
- Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
- Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
- Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
- Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
- Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
- Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
- Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
Nice To Haves
- Co-Packing or Warehouse experience is not required but preferred.
- Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database is a plus.
- Forklift certification a plus.
