About The Position

This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks: Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening in any department that may include, but not limited to, supplier, assembler, topper, hand wrapper, packer, stacker, sanitation. Other tasks include standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and reaching. Candidate must be willing to lift, push and carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 15 – 50 pounds). Candidates must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines; must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; must be willing to be cross trained and moved to other areas as needed and must be willing and able to stand for 8 – 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 50 to 120 degrees.

Requirements

  • Prior experience is not required
  • Must have effective communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • REHIRES ARE SUBJECT TO A 91 DAY WAIT PERIOD, determined from their last date of employment, to be considered for FRESH PLANT
  • CANDIDATES THAT HAVE WORKED FOR TYSON FOODS OR TYSON AFFILIATES 3 OR MORE TIMES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRE
  • MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION
  • MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
