POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Yard Services Supervisor, this position supports the yard in all areas of plant; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Requirements

Requires on the job training to be able to perform duties
Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and supervisors
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Ability to follow simple instructions
Ability to use and operate electric masonry saws, torches, hand banders and wrenches
Predictable and regular attendance is required

Responsibilities

Sorts and loads brick onto the octagon machine
Cuts brick according to specifications
Repairs broken wooden pallets and skids
Cleans loose or broken brick from yard area
Performs a variety of general labor duties such as grogging brick
Work in other areas of the plant including packaging break away thin brick on line 4
Maintains work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety
All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
