About The Position

The Michigan Milk Producers Association is a dairy farmer owned cooperative and dairy processor. Founded in 1916, the MMPA serves dairy farmers in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.

MMPA maintains a strong presence within the dairy industry with strategic business relationships through a variety of channels like processing shelf-stable, value added dairy products. MMPA has five member owned processing plants in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, including Superior Dairy and the Middlebury Cheese Company. Products made at MMPA’s plants include fluid milk, cheese, ultrafiltered milk, cottage cheese, ice cream, butter, nonfat dry milk, cream and condensed skim milk.

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable and motivated General Labor employees to join our cottage cheese production team. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting with production, packaging, sanitation, and quality processes in a food manufacturing environment. Successful candidates are safety-focused, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to [50] pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced environment
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must follow strict hygiene and sanitation standards

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing or food production experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production and packaging of cottage cheese products
• Operate basic production and packaging equipment
• Load and unload materials, ingredients, and finished products
• Perform sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas
• Follow all food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Comply with safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Complete required production and quality documentation
• Support team members and supervisors as needed
