About The Position
The Baillie Group's Owego, NY facility is hiring for Material Handler / General Laborer. If you previously worked as a warehouse worker or any entry level general labor position before, you'll be a great fit for this role. Full Time Direct Hire Position Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $17-$19 1st Shift Paid Vacations & Holidays 401(k) with company match Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Great training opportunities! Material Handler Details Top, bottom and outside pieces will be the longest All edges will be free of knots, wane, and other defects Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove Material Handler Qualifications Be 18 years of age or older Detail oriented Able to lift 50+ lbs continuously Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task Great attitude Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping Nice to Have Skills Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators) High School degree preferred, but not required About Us: The Baillie Group is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters. The advertised pay range represents what The Baillie Group believes we would anticipate paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements. Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Detail oriented
- Able to lift 50+ lbs continuously
- Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task
