About The Position

Operate and maintain line equipment for the product runs that meet established production standards needed for maximum efficiency and quality standards. This role involves preparing, operating, maintaining, and stocking assigned production lines or stations, ensuring equipment is in full operational status by making adjustments and troubleshooting malfunctions. It also requires maintaining quality by observing operations and adjusting speed controls, cleaning equipment according to guidelines, and reporting any food safety and quality issues to management immediately. The position demands maintaining safe working conditions and compliance with all regulations, and following all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) consistent with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, operate, maintain, and stock assigned production line or station
  • Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment
  • Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying the proper individuals when needed for preventative maintenance or issues needing attention
  • Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting with speed controls and troubleshooting
  • Maintain and clean equipment according to guidelines and expectations
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned as required
