About The Position

AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a General Laborer located at our Sawmill in Smoot, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will be responsible for keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill.

Requirements

• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Positive and Verifiable Work History.
• Prior sawmill experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Physically handle lumber by pulling from chain and placing in appropriate pack.
• Use crosscut saw to cut off bad ends.
• Band finished packs.
• Responsible for completing clean-up and ground maintenance of assigned areas.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the mill management.
