The primary function of this position is to assist in the construction and installation of a utility grade solar project throughout all phases of construction. WORK REQUIREMENTS You will report to a management approved supervisor which may be reassigned as workload changes. Basic general labor duties preparing work area for installation of various equipment Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers and rakes Ability to thoroughly keep equipment, vehicles, materials, tools, and all company property clean and neat. Assist with pulling wire through trenches Minor hand tool work bolting and unbolting of PV solar racks using manual or power tools Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, mud, etc. Ability to fill in and assist any aspect of building a PV solar system, i.e. electrical, mechanical, security, equipment, vehicle, etc. Ability to work well with others and understand and take direction from all levels of upper management
