About The Position
The general labor position supports production activities to meet business objectives and operates various machines. This person conducts safe, efficient, and timely production of products to satisfy the customer orders and specifications. The general labor position follows the supervisor's direction, works well in a team environment and follows all company policies and procedures. Positions available on first and second shift. First shift normal hours 7 am to 3 pm. Second shift normal hours 3 pm to 11 pm. Some overtime hours are required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Operate machinery and equipment as required, based on level of training completed.
- Perform process quality checks as appropriate, based on assigned responsibilities.
- Perform accurate and timely paperwork as required for the responsibilities assigned.
- Perform minor machinery and equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Assist other team members in the Production Department.
- Train employees of lesser knowledge on machinery, equipment, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform other duties necessary to the efficient operation of the facility.
- Assist maintenance employees when needed.
- Treat fellow employees, customers, guests, vendors, etc. in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Escalate impediments to a safe and efficient operation to management and engage in continuously improving aspects of our operation.
- Follow work instructions, policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
