General Labor - Day Shift

This role ensures materials meet customer requirements and company quality standards while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Schedule 12-hour rotating shift (2-3-2 schedule) Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Weekends: Alternating weekends required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- No prior experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience is a plus
- Basic math skills required
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities
- Move, stack, and secure lumber products and materials according to instructions
- Stack finished products based on predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
- Label materials accurately according to product type, size, and quantity
- Apply individual tags to materials before and/or after treating or production
- Use a staple gun and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed
- Band, bundle, and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
- Follow company policies and customer specifications for proper material stacking
- Verify correct quantities are strapped, bundled, and labeled before materials leave the work area
- Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies or issues to a supervisor
- Record production data on production sheets accurately and timely
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist other departments by moving materials and loading/unloading material carts
- Participate in safety meetings, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and other required programs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
