General Labor
About The Position
We are the provider of choice for safe, sustainable and creative solutions in the marine and environmental sectors and we are truly committed to finding and supporting the best talent. We are seeking individuals with at GOOD WORK ETHIC to provide general labor duties at our busy port terminals. Must be willing to perform loading, unloading duties, cleaning tasks and operate some small machines, work around water preparing cargo and following safety guidelines. Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends while working in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Able to work around water
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout a shift
- Attention to detail and safety protocols
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to present information in one-on-one group situations with fellow employees and customers.
- Must have valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Outgoing, friendly personality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cargo for loading/unloading
- Follow loading plans
- Operate small equipment as instructed
- General housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment
- Heavy lifting duties
- Observe all safety rules and use good safety work habits.
