About The Position

The position involves assisting the saw operator in cutting boards to specified lengths based on customer requirements, ensuring safety and accuracy in the process. The role includes recording material counts, verifying dimensions, and acting as a back-up operator once trained.

Requirements

• Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Working knowledge of how to use a tape measure.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to continuously lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform physical duties such as bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the saw operator and perform assigned duties.
• Cut boards to required lengths according to customer specifications.
• Properly stack cut boards after processing.
• Record accurate counts of material cut.
• Ensure all material is properly identified and dimensionally correct before transferring to the tempering department.
• Act as a back-up operator to the saw operator once properly trained.
• Verify extrusion dimensions.
