About The Position

The position involves inspecting and trimming apples, ensuring the quality of the final product, and performing custodial duties. The role is critical in maintaining food safety and quality standards while adhering to operational policies and safety procedures. Regular attendance is essential, and employees are expected to report any food safety issues to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to use hands for handling and manipulating objects and tools.
• Physical capability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision for paperwork, driving, and inspecting products.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect products for defects and foreign material.
• Remove foreign materials from raw product.
• Communicate with co-workers and management regarding defects and foreign materials.
• Spot and remove defects using a trim knife while minimizing yield loss.
• Maintain adequate production supply to ensure uninterrupted line flow.
• Perform custodial assignments as required.
• Adhere to industrial and food safety protocols including Lock Out/Tag Out, Haz-Com, and chemical safety.
