Requirements

  • Able to walk/stand for the duration of a 10-hour shift and be able to twist, bend, stoop and reach.
  • Able to climb stairs, ladders, equipment scaffolding, tanks and heights to 50 feet.
  • Able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds per normal 10-hour shift.
  • Able to push/pull objects weighing up to 550 pounds to chest level up to 100 times per normal 10-hour shift using material handling equipment.
  • Able to hold, grip, and use tools required for duties, including but not limited to a knife.
  • Able to hear and talk on an ongoing basis in an atmosphere of moderate to loud noise.
  • Able to work in and around cold water or hot water up to 185°F.
  • Able to work in cold, warm, hot, humid and/or wet conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a food production environment while adhering to safety protocols and wearing proper PPE.
  • Be flexible with shift assignments based on the Union's job bid process.
  • Complete 10-hour shifts ranging from four to six shifts per week.
