The General Labor position at Hartford Finishing involves hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, focusing on safety and quality. The role is essential for supporting the production process by preparing parts for painting, inspecting them for defects, and packaging them for shipment.   • Hang parts on hooks for painting per direction of the line coordinator.
  • Perform visual inspection of parts for obvious defects when hanging parts.
  • Visually inspect, count, and package parts for shipment.
  • Use small hand tools and/or bench type power tools in assembly operations.
  • Work performed based upon work orders or routings and/or verbal instructions.
  • Perform minor rework as needed.
  • Pack parts according to work order or verbal instruction.
  • Report labor hours by entering correct information in the computer.
  • Must have some high school or equivalent experience.
  • Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders, and customer specifications.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand for all or most of a regular work shift.
  • Must have and wear protective gear designated for the department.
