Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Prior painting, sanding, and machining experience preferred, supplemented by on-the-job training, to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company’s products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods, and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
  • May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Experience with routine vehicle repairs including brakes, suspension, engine components, and electrical troubleshooting for passenger vehicles up to and including class 8 trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor and major repair of the building and equipment
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on facility equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Installs electrical wiring and equipment
  • Assists with the renovation/remodeling of the building
  • Maintains and repairs equipment used throughout the warehouse daily
  • Performs preventative maintenance on various machinery around the warehouse
  • Performs mechanic maintenance on various forklifts
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments
  • Responsible for acquiring parts needed for the various on site departments, on request
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Be familiar with ATK’s Code of Safe Work Practices.
