About The Position

General Labor Machine Operator at Seaside Casual Furniture involves setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting machinery. The operator will inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and make necessary adjustments or tool changes to maintain quality standards. The role requires working independently and as part of a team to meet daily production goals, performing secondary and cleaning operations, and conducting regular preventative maintenance on machines.

Requirements

• High School Graduation or equivalent.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Basic computer competency such as MS Windows, email, and word processor.
• Ability to problem solve independently.
• Concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
• Ability to act quickly and appropriately when a problem arises.
• Mechanically inclined and familiar with light production tools such as drills, routers, sanders, calipers, and micrometers.
• Experience in a production environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work from specifications to call up programs.
• Load fixture boards and materials onto machines.
• Ensure machines are properly setup and assist with first piece inspection.
• Assure products are produced to company quality standards.
• Work with operation team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform secondary and cleaning operations as needed.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of machine/equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
