About The Position

The employee will report to the Operations Supervisor and work closely with other farm staff. The position will help with all aspects of the nursery to set, grow, and maintain shellfish seed throughout the year. Work will include tank cleaning, cleaning of seed, screening/grading of clams and oysters. This is a very physically active position with repetitive tasks. This is an outdoor position partially shaded on uneven gravel terrain.

May be required to do other tasks as needed.
Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers
Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
The employee is required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, squat, or stand for daily tasks
The employee needs to be able to push full wheel barrows
The employee needs to be able to lift up to 50 lbs., or 100 lbs. with assistance
The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Individual must provide own housing and transportation.
