About The Position

The General Labor / Driver Class A position at Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc. is designed to support the operations of the cooperative by ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and materials, as well as assisting with various labor tasks as needed. Requirements

• No experience required in a general labor role, but prefer some agriculture knowledge and/or interest in agriculture..
• At least 1 year of experience operating commercial vehicles with a Class A CDL.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment and machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to both driving and general labor tasks.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving and handling materials.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to support various labor tasks, including warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments for reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to uphold the standards of Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc.
