About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. Starting at $20.00-$21.50 per hour DOE – Open Shift Availability Required POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Sack Pant Superintendent, this position supports the Sack Plant in all areas of production; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

Requires basic reading and writing skills.
On-the-job training is required to be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Requires basic mathematics and counting skills.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Able to work independently and in teams.
Obtain Basalite forklift certification.
Ability to operate a forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Checks sack for defects, bag weight accuracy and/or contamination.
Verifies specialty plant products.
Checks quality of finished goods.
Keeps assigned work areas clean and organized.
Operates a forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies, ensures that hazardous conditions are reported.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
