About The Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced General Lab Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in chemistry and hematology, and demonstrate leadership abilities to manage the day-to-day operations of the lab. This is a permanent role with full benefits.

Requirements

• NYS Clinical Technologist license
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or a Master's degree with 2 years of clinical lab experience
• Experience in chemistry and hematology
• 1 or more years in a leadership/supervisory role preferred, but open to strong technologists looking to move into a leadership role

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a medical technologist or core lab supervisor
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee 4 FTEs performing testing and quality assurance activities in the chemistry and hematology program.
• Ensure technical skill in point of care testing and clinical laboratory operations.
• Perform day-to-day supervision of the general lab, including troubleshooting, revising/updating policies, and scheduling.
• Read slides and perform emergency bench work if necessary.
