About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated General Lab Supervisor to oversee the Cancer Center Laboratory. This role involves supervising a team of skilled professionals in performing testing and quality assurance activities within the chemistry and hematology program.

Requirements

• NYS Clinical Technologist license.
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
• Experience in chemistry and hematology.
• At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.

• Experience as a medical technologist or supervisor.
• Desire to pursue leadership opportunities in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 4 full-time employees performing testing and quality assurance activities for the chemistry and hematology program.
• Perform day-to-day supervision of the general lab operations, including troubleshooting, revising and updating policies, and scheduling.
• Ensure technical skill in point of care testing and clinical laboratory functions.
• No bench work is required unless there is an emergency, but the candidate should be able to read slides.
