About The Position

Dining Services at Elizabethtown College has an immediate opening for a full-time General Kitchen Utility Worker. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and organization of all service ware, cooking utensils, and equipment for residential dining facilities, cash operations, and catered events. This position also supports overall kitchen cleanliness, including deep cleaning of kitchen floors, walk-ins, and workspaces. Why work at Elizabethtown College? We've got great PERKS! Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all service ware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all beverage, waffle, and cereal equipment
  • Preform dish room duties, including pre-rinsing dishware, washing flatware, plates, bowls and scrubbing pots and pans
  • Clean and sanitize dining room tables and chairs
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of dishes, flatware, beverage, cereal, waffle mix, and related items
  • Utilize all equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Always maintain the highest levels of safety and sanitation
  • Maintain sanitation and equipment records as required
  • Maintain optimum station coverage at all times and cover for coworkers' breaks and PTO
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Train student personnel
  • Clean and maintain kitchen spaces, including floors, walk-in coolers, and prep areas
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are properly closed, organized and ready for the following day's operation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and stocking inventory as required
  • Assist in food production as required
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a safe manner according to regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
