Engineer applies the principles of engineering and information technology to develop economical advanced recognition & identification solutions to address customer technical, operational, and management problems/needs. Precisely specify the functional requirements; design and test cameras, sensors, edge devices and systems; integrate cameras, sensors, edge devices to produce the final solution; and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. In addition to design and development, may work in testing, production, or maintenance. Assists in planning project goals/methods, and presenting technical presentations. Performs site survey and makes recommendations to customers on site changes. Handles system installation & tuning, manages site acceptance, creates solution documentation, prepares training materials, and conduct training. Provides customer support, resolved issues, and escalates issues when necessary. Writes, implements, and maintains detailed implementation plan and reports progress against plan. Works under general supervision.
